Getting started
How do I sign in for the first time?
- Open the site and sign in with your national ID (not your email).
- Use the temporary password your manager gave you (or sent to your email, if registered).
- You’ll be asked to change your password right away on first sign-in — pick one you’ll remember, and confirm it.
- This happens only once.
Do I have to add my email?
Add your email from “My profile”. Sign-in details and notifications are sent there. The system may ask for it before you continue the first time.
How do I install the app on my phone?
Add Shifti to your home screen and it opens just like an app — faster and full-screen, with no browser bar. No download from the store, and it takes almost no space.
On iPhone / iPad (Safari)
- Open Shifti in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (a square with an up arrow) at the bottom.
- Scroll down and choose “Add to Home Screen”.
- Tap “Add” at the top.
On Android (Chrome)
- Open Shifti in Chrome.
- Tap the menu button (three dots) at the top.
- Choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
- Confirm.
Once added, open Shifti from its icon each day to check in and out fast.
How do I allow the camera and location?
Shifti uses the camera to scan the QR code (required to record attendance), and may ask for your location (GPS) as a helper signal for management (optional). Tap “Allow” when first asked. If you denied it by mistake, enable it from your browser settings:
On iPhone / iPad (Safari)
- Tap the “aA” button at the start of the address bar.
- Choose “Website Settings”.
- Set “Camera” and “Location” to “Allow”, then reopen the page.
On Android (Chrome)
- Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
- Open “Permissions”.
- Enable “Camera” and “Location”, then reload the page.
Location is optional — denying it doesn’t block your check-in; only the camera is required to scan the code.
Recording attendance
How do I record my check-in?
- From your home page, open “Check in”.
- Your phone will ask for camera permission — allow it.
- Point the camera at the QR code on the branch screen.
- Once read, your check-in is recorded with the time. Your status becomes “Present”.
How do I record my check-out?
- At the end of your shift, open the same page and scan the code again.
- Your check-out is recorded with the time. Your status becomes “Checked out”.
The code on the screen keeps changing — is that normal?
The code on the screen changes every few seconds — that’s normal and part of the security. Just point the camera and it reads automatically.
What if I cannot scan the code?
If you can’t scan the code — say the screen is down — and your manager has enabled this for you, you can record manually: choose the branch and write a location note (required). If you don’t see this option, it isn’t enabled for you — contact your manager.
I work at more than one branch — how do I record?
Work at more than one branch? You can check in at one branch and out at another; the system links them into one session.
My shift ends after midnight — is it counted correctly?
Night shift running past midnight? Don’t worry. If you check in at night and out after 12 AM, your attendance belongs to the same work day, not the new date.
Why is my location (GPS) requested?
Your phone may ask for your location (GPS) when you check in — this only helps management and does not block you from recording.
Leave & corrections
How do I request leave or a permission?
Need sick or annual leave, or permission to leave early? Submit your request in the app and follow its status — no paper needed.
- Open “My requests”, then tap “New request”.
- Pick the type, choose the dates (or the time range for a permission), and add a short reason.
- Submit. Your request goes to your branch supervisor to recommend, then to your manager for the final decision.
- Track the status (awaiting / approved / rejected) in “My requests”. You can cancel a request while it is still pending.
Once approved, those days show to your management as “on leave” — not as absence.
I forgot to check in or out — what do I do?
Forgot to check in or out, or a time is wrong? Ask for a correction instead of leaving a gap in your record.
- Open “Punch correction”, then tap “New request”.
- Choose the work day, enter the correct check-in and/or check-out time, and add a short reason.
- Submit. Your branch supervisor or your manager reviews it.
- Once approved, your attendance record for that day is fixed automatically. Track the status in “Punch correction”.
For an overnight shift, a check-out time earlier than the check-in is treated as the next day.
Follow-up & announcements
Where do I see my record and hours?
You can review your own attendance and total hours at any time.
- Open “My attendance” to see your attended days, check-in and check-out times, and total hours for each month.
- Switch between months, and export your record as an Excel file whenever you need it.
What are announcements and how do I handle them?
- A normal announcement appears in the “Announcements” area of your page — read it anytime.
- A mandatory announcement opens as a full-screen popup when you sign in, and stays until you tap “Seen”.
- Tapping “Seen” confirms to management that you have read it.
What does my status (present / out / absent) mean?
Present: you checked in and haven’t checked out yet.
Checked out: you finished the day — checked in and out.
Absent: no record for this day.
My account
How do I change my password, or if I forgot it?
Change your password anytime from “Password”. Forgot it? Ask your manager to reset it for you.
I changed my phone — how do I link my account?
Your account is tied to your device (your browser) so no one else can punch for you. Changed your phone? Request a “device reset” from “My profile” — your manager or branch supervisor approves it.
Any quick tips?
- Keep your phone charged and the camera lens clean.
- Forgot your password? Contact your manager to reset it.
- Check in as soon as you arrive and out before you leave — so your times are accurate.
